You’re someone who wants to create outcomes that have a real impact on the people of NSW.
You're all about the detail and this role will allow you to drive evidence-based decision making to optimise systems and efficiency, not just for the business but for our customers too. It's data and research with impact you can see.
In this role, you'll:
- be working as part of a team delivering data and innovation projects that help the Active Transport, Design and Activation Branch deliver stronger outcomes for our communities using technology solutions, and data insights.
- help the branch identify opportunities to think differently and solve problems in new and novel ways.
- coordinate and support projects in collaboration with others in Transport to secure new data for the branch, apply data insights and new technologies, quantify benefits, pilot and evaluate emerging approaches, and integrate innovation into organisational practice.
- support innovation and data driven initiatives that embed new approaches and improve outcomes in a complex, fast paced environment with varied capability, competing priorities and collaborative partnerships.
- take ownership of projects from initiation through to delivery, helping define project scope, establish ways of working, coordinate stakeholders and drive outcomes in areas that are often evolving or not yet fully defined.
- work alongside multidisciplinary teams to shape and establish new projects, bringing structure, momentum and practical solutions that support successful implementation and long-term adoption.
- support senior leaders and project sponsors to progress strategic programs, maintain delivery focus, manage competing priorities and ensure projects remain on track to achieve intended outcomes.

About you
You bring fresh thinking to the teams you work with and are excited by the opportunity to improve outcomes for communities across NSW using technology and data solutions.
You bring project coordination, analytical and innovation support skills formed working in large or complex organisations.
You can balance multiple priorities, support adoption of data driven approaches and contribute to practical improvements in program delivery and outcomes.
You're comfortable working in ambiguity and enjoy creating structure where it doesn't yet exist.
You can confidently navigate undefined or evolving environments, take ownership of projects from concept through to completion, and work collaboratively with teams to turn ideas into practical, deliverable outcomes.
You're recognised as organised and adaptable, skilled at supporting projects through documentation, reporting, risk tracking and stakeholder engagement, experienced in data analysis, evaluation, innovation initiatives and applying emerging trends to real world program challenges.
You have a strong project delivery focus, with the ability to build momentum, coordinate diverse stakeholders and keep initiatives moving forward.
You're confident supporting senior leaders and working across teams to establish new projects, solve complex challenges and deliver outcomes that create lasting value for communities across NSW.
