About the opportunity
Reporting to the Credit Control Team Leader in this extremely fast paced business environment, the role will take ownership and effectively manage a segment of the Aged Debt Ledger within the Customer portfolio. You will work within a One team partnering model, building strong and positive support and service relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Pivotal to the role will be a professional customer centric and risk based analytical approach in managing the ledger, to optimise collections via prompt follow up, dispute resolution and account reconciliation efficiencies, to ensure efficient and timely collection of cash in line with Cash Forecasts and targeted DSO.
In addition, you should have a mindset of identifying continuous improvement strategies for the ongoing enhancement of the function.
You will be responsible for:
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting on overdue accounts.
- Surveillance & Reporting of Late-stage debt and Default accounts.
- Prepare and Issue Stop Credit & Hold Lists.
- Limit exposure Lists.
- Weekly/Monthly Cash Inflow forecasts in line with targets.
- Review of Account progressing to Late stage and Default.
- Analysis of payment performance and probability of default.
- Daily Credit Reports.
- Make timely credit decisions and endorsements aligned to HANZ Credit policy.
- Proactive Collection strategy to secure sound Debt repayment plans to maximize collection and minimise doubtful debt.
- Prepare credit submissions and recommendations for review.
- High standard of investigative and drill down skills in identifying root cause and corrective actions and closing out bottlenecks in aged debt triggered by Claims and Disputes.
- Major accounts and reconciliations.
To be successful in this role you will have
- Demonstrated commercial Credit Control experience.
- Ability to manage major accounts.
- Strong end to end process experience.
- Proficient in the use of the Google (Intermediate).
- Previous experience with SAP Systems (Preferable).
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Strong administration and analytical skills.
- Proven Negotiation and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong Interpersonal and Professional business communication skills.
- Self-motivated and outcomes-orientated with a passionate `can do'/adaptable mind set.
