4 Fast Track Bays with comfortable recliners

3 Dedicated Paediatric Bays
All acute, paediatric and resus bays are equipped with Philips Monitoring, centrally displayed at the main staff station and overviewed at the paediatric station for enhanced visibility and response. In addition, the department includes 18 Short Stay Unit (SSU) beds, supporting seamless transitions from emergency care to observation and recovery. This expansion reflects our commitment to delivering exceptional emergency care to our community with compassion, precision, and innovation.

Job Description
The role of a Clinical Nurse Educator involves supporting and enhancing clinical practice within the Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit. As a brand new Emergency Department, there will be a strong focus on staff preparedness and upskilling through supported exposure and completion of national educational packages and competencies.. You will work collaboratively with the NUM to develop an orientation program that ensures staff are competent, safe and well-resourced to manage the patients who present. The position is responsible for facilitating unit-based education and providing support to the NUM and ANUM team in maintaining compliance and competency standards across the department.
Key responsibilities include:

Providing expert clinical guidance, mentorship, and support to Emergency Department Staff.

Planning, developing, delivering, and evaluating evidence-based education and professional development programs.

Identifying and addressing learning needs related to Emergency Department and acute clinical nursing knowledge, technical skills, and professional behaviours.

Supporting the maintenance of compliance and competencies within the Emergency Department and Short Stay Unit.

Reviewing and developing policies and procedures in line with current guidelines, standards, and evidence-based practice.

Promoting a culture of continuous learning, clinical excellence, and professional accountability.

Supporting students, graduates, and early career clinicians within the perioperative setting and programs.

Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical education and patient outcomes.

Contributing to the implementation of change, innovation, and evidence-based practice improvements.
Minimum Requirements:
-
Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in an emergency department or critical care environment.
-
Must be competent in all areas on emergency department nursing across minor injuries, paediatrics, resuscitation and triage.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment, or working towards completion

Completed Preceptorship Program (desirable)

Relevant postgraduate qualification (desirable)

Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) trainer (desirable)
Additional Information

Must provide or complete a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.

Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children Check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
