Salary – $75,728-$82,329 Plus Superannuation and Annual leave loading
This position is open to Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people only.
Your role
Join our team and play a vital role in supporting residents within a Residential Centre. In this position, you will provide compassionate care, guidance, and practical assistance while contributing to the smooth and effective delivery of program goals.

What you’ll do
In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting residents to build safer, more independent futures. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Delivering personalised support by implementing individual Case Plans and maintaining accurate records of key interactions in OIMS
- Mentoring and guiding residents to encourage positive behaviours and help them achieve program goals
- Supporting residents to develop the skills, confidence, and independence needed for life in the community
- Building respectful, pro-social relationships between residents, staff, and external stakeholders
- Connecting residents with external services, programs, and opportunities that support their growth
- Providing transport when needed to ensure residents can attend appointments, programs, and community activities
- Maintaining accurate and confidential records while working collaboratively with stakeholders to support resident outcomes
- Responding promptly and effectively to critical incidents, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents, staff, and the wider community
- Assisting with the day-to-day operations and upkeep of the centre
- Building strong, respectful relationships with Aboriginal communities and key partners to support meaningful and culturally appropriate outcomes
What we’re looking for
Qualifications Required
- Current driver’s license and preparedness to drive a vehicle in the course of performing the role.
- Meet requirements for Aboriginal Identified role
Experience Required
- Demonstrated experience to address the key accountabilities and focus capabilities of the role – as outlined in the role description
- Experience in record keeping database, computer literacy and administration
- Demonstrated cultural capability, which includes lived experience, knowledge and understanding of contemporary social issues affecting Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people, including skills in identifying and/or responding to the diverse needs of Aboriginal people experiencing significant trauma and disadvantage.
As an Identified role, this position is open only to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.

Confirmation of Aboriginality form

Written confirmation from 2-3 Aboriginal organisations within the community in which you live/work, which addresses the three criteria listed below:
- is of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, and
- identifies as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, and
- is accepted as a such by the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community.
