We are seeking a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Bar Attendant to join our team and help deliver exceptional service to our guests.
About the Role
As a Bar Attendant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming bar environment and ensuring compliance with responsible service requirements.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with people and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to guests.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and process payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of bar areas.
- Restock beverages, glassware and bar supplies.
- Monitor customer behaviour and ensure compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements.
- Assist with stock control and inventory management.
- Set up and close bar areas as required.
- Support restaurant and function operations when required.
- Maintain workplace health and safety standards.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate.
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong cash handling and customer service skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Reliable, professional and well-presented.
Desirable
- Previous bar or hotel experience.
- Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits and cocktail preparation.
- Gaming Machine Licence.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Experience working in remote or regional hospitality venues.
