The Role:
Arup's Water business in Western Australia is experiencing significant growth and entering an exciting new phase of opportunity. With a strong presence in the WA market, trusted client relationships and a growing pipeline of opportunities, we are looking for an exceptional Water Leader to help drive the next chapter of our success.
This is a rare opportunity to join an established business at a pivotal moment in its growth. Based in our Perth office and working alongside more than 230 colleagues across a diverse multidisciplinary business, you will help influence the future direction of our Water business while contributing to some of Western Australia's most significant infrastructure and development projects.
Working closely with the WA team and the broader ANZ Water leadership team, you will play a key role in growing our market presence, strengthening client relationships, shaping major opportunities and reinforcing Arup's position as a trusted advisor across the water sector. You won't be doing this alone. You will join a passionate and highly capable leaders already driving our success for Water in WA — bringing your own energy, ideas and market presence to help take our Water business to the next level.
We are seeking a recognised industry leader with a proven track record of building trusted relationships, creating opportunities and influencing positive outcomes for clients. You will be passionate about developing people, driving growth and helping solve some of the most important challenges facing the water sector.

Is this role right for you?

Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications, ideally chartered within your discipline/skillset.

Established relationships with clients that operate in the water sector across WA, particularly across Water Corporation, DWER, Busselton Water, Aqwest etc.

Demonstrated business development experience in the planning or design of water infrastructure, within a consulting business environment.

Superior communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience in delivering early project phase outcomes, through planning, strategy and advisory work.

Keen understanding of customer/client needs (both internal and external) with an ability to develop creative win-win solutions.

Proven ability to operate at the front-end of the project lifecycle, shaping investment directions and informed decision-making through business case development, options analysis, regulatory insight, and integrated planning advisory.
