We’re looking for reliable, patient, enthusiastic and caring Support Workers to join our dedicated team and provide tailored assistance to individuals with disabilities across two key areas:
1. Social & Community Participation
Assist participants to engage with their local community – whether it’s attending social events or appointments, joining a local group, visiting the library or exploring new hobbies and interests. You’ll empower people to gain independence, develop skills, build friendships, and enjoy meaningful connections.
2. On-the-Job Support
Be there to guide and support participants as they start their first job or return to the workforce. You’ll provide hands-on support in real workplace settings – assist with learning work tasks, boost confidence, and encourage independence in the workplace.
What we’re looking for:
- Applicants who are caring and respectful with a person-centred mindset
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal & written)
- Strong reliability and a commitment to continuity of support
- The role will commence on a casual basis to start, with the opportunity to quickly transition to a permanent position
- A willingness to travel is required as we provide support in Brisbane CBD, Brisbane North, South, Ipswich, Logan & the Bayside
- We are currently looking for team members in the IPSWICH REGION
- **MUST HAVE MANUAL HANDLING EXPERIENCE**
- **MUST BE AVAILABLE ALL DAY** - MONDAYS, TUESDAYS & FRIDAYS
- Ability to work independently and adapt to different environments
- Qualifications/Experience in either Individual Support (Disability), Education, Youth Work and/or Mental Health is preferred
Essential Requirements:
- Current driver’s license and access to a comprehensively insured reliable vehicle
- Manual Handling experience/training
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Working with Children Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Current Criminal History Check
