ABOUT THE ROLE
The Assistant Pastry Manager works closely with the Head of Bakery to support the day to day operations of our pastry team.
This is a hands on role. You’ll spend most of your time working alongside the team, supporting production, maintaining standards and helping ensure the bakery operates smoothly each day.
You’ll play an important role in creating a positive team culture, developing people and ensuring every product leaving the bakery is something we’re proud to serve.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting and developing a high performing pastry team
Working alongside the team in daily production
Maintaining quality, consistency and presentation standards
Assisting with production planning and workflow management
Supporting rostering, ordering and stock control
Upholding food safety, cleanliness and compliance standards
Assisting with onboarding and training new team members
Working closely with the Head of Bakery on continuous improvement and new product development

ABOUT YOU
Available to work early mornings
Leadership experience as a Senior Pastry Chef, Pastry Supervisor or Assistant Manager required
Level 5 or Level 6 Pastry Chef classification preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Organised, reliable and calm under pressure
Passionate about pastry and continual improvement
Positive, humble and team focused
You care about the details. You lead by example. You take pride in producing great products and supporting those around you.
