Full-Time Barber at Barbers R Us
Barbers R Us is seeking an experienced and skilled full-time barber to join our team.
The successful applicant will be confident providing a wide range of modern and traditional barbering services while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a clean, professional work environment.
Key duties include:
- Consulting with clients and providing advice on hairstyles, hair care and grooming products
- Cutting and styling hair using scissors, clippers and razors
- Performing skin fades, taper fades, line-ups, beard fades and other modern barbering techniques
- Shaving, shaping and trimming beards and moustaches
- Providing hot towel shaves and facial grooming services
- Trimming and shaping eyebrows
- Shampooing, conditioning and treating the hair and scalp
- Colouring, straightening and chemically treating hair where required
- Creating braids, dreadlocks and similar styles where requested
- Applying hair extensions or hair replacement systems is preferred but not essential
- Maintaining strong client relationships and providing a high standard of customer service
- Managing appointments and processing customer payments
- Cleaning work areas and sanitising tools and equipment
- Taking occasional photos, before-and-after images and short video clips of completed work for the business’s social media and marketing content
- Assisting with the general presentation and daily operation of the barbershop
Applicants must hold a Certificate III or higher qualification with at least two years of on-the-job training, or have at least three years of relevant industry experience.
An attractive annual salary of $76,000–$80,000 is offered, depending on experience.
