Join Michael Hill as a Customer Orders Assistant and play a pivotal role in supporting our customer order process while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of product information across our business. Based in our Brisbane Support Centre, you'll work closely with a collaborative team, supporting stores, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure outstanding outcomes for our customers.
About The Opportunity
As a Customer Orders Assistant, you'll support the day-to-day management of customer orders and product information systems, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a seamless experience for both customers and stores. You'll become a key point of contact for customer order enquiries while collaborating across teams including E-Commerce, Retail, Warehouse, Merchandising, and IT.
What You'll Be Doing
- Process and manage special customer order purchase orders.
- Monitor delivery timelines, manage overdue orders, and resolve order-related issues.
- Support retail stores with customer order enquiries via the Freshdesk ticketing system.
- Assist with customer quote requests, pricing reviews, and SKU creation.
- Investigate product data issues and support system testing activities.
- Conduct product data validation and accuracy checks.
- Analyse reports and dashboards to identify trends and support business decision-making.
- Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and process management.
About You
You are a proactive and analytical individual who enjoys working with data, systems, and people. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment where organisation, communication, and attention to detail are key. To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- Experience in a merchandising, product support, retail support, or customer service environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a process-driven approach.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
- Experience working with systems, product data, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- A collaborative, adaptable, and solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A tertiary qualification in Business or a related discipline is desirable.
