Udaya is a large Indian/Asian retail store in the Western Sydney area. Commitment to Customer service is a key aspect of our business and we are seeking a self-driven Storeroom/Loading Dock Assistant who can oversee a broad range of our day to day customer and storage related activities and commitments at our Wentworthville Store.
Working hours:
Monday to Friday 25-38 hours Weekly between 10 am - 10 pm. Weekends also apply.
Position purpose:
Undertake storage related duties to assist in the operation of the Company’s retail operations.
Main tasks:
· Undertake stocktake activities
· Operate specialised equipment as required including forklift and pallet jack
· Assist in performing quality checks on equipment and inventory
· Receive and process stock/ products from loading/ receiving dock
· Unload, label and store delivered/ received goods
· Perform store inventory controls
· Perform general store room duties
· Check received goods against delivery dockets and invoices ensuring that all goods are accounted for
· Unwrap, wrap, arrange and sort goods on pallets
· Arrange goods on the shelves from pallets as required
· Provide products needed for each aisle as per store requirements
· Maintain the cleanliness, organisation and safety of the storeroom
· Observe work health and safety requirements at all times
· Perform ad-hoc duties as directed including assisting with other retail/ supermarket/customer related functions.
