SAC Facades is establishing a new window and door fabrication facility in western Adelaide and is looking for an experienced Aluminium Fabricator / Assembler to join the team.
This is a factory-based role focused on the fabrication and assembly of aluminium window frames, door frames, louvres and associated metal components for commercial projects.
This is not a glazing or site installation role.
The role
Your work may include:
- cutting and preparing aluminium extrusions;
- fabricating aluminium window and door frames;
- assembling frames, louvres and associated components;
- measuring, marking, drilling, routing and machining aluminium;
- fitting hardware and frame components;
- reading fabrication drawings, cutting lists and production instructions;
- operating saws, routers and other fabrication equipment;
- operating or learning to operate CNC machinery;
- checking dimensions, alignment and finished quality;
- identifying damaged, incorrect or non-conforming materials;
- packing completed assemblies for transport; and
- maintaining a clean, organised and safe factory environment.
The position is focused on aluminium frame fabrication and assembly. It does not include glass cutting, glazing or site installation.
About you
You may have experience in:
- aluminium window and door fabrication;
- commercial window manufacturing;
- aluminium or light metal fabrication;
- louvre or facade component manufacturing;
- CNC machining;
- factory assembly; or
- a similar manufacturing environment requiring accuracy and attention to detail.
You will ideally have:
- experience working with aluminium extrusions and components;
- the ability to read drawings, measurements and cutting lists;
- confidence using hand tools and fabrication machinery;
- strong attention to dimensions, finish and assembly quality;
- an understanding of safe machinery and factory practices;
- reliable attendance and a practical approach to work; and
- Australian working rights.
CNC experience will be highly regarded but is not essential for someone with strong aluminium fabrication or assembly experience.
A forklift licence, manufacturing qualification or relevant trade background will also be viewed favourably.
