About the role
Due to continued growth we are currently looking for skilled Meat Workers to join our team in production. We can offer you a full time employment. You will be a valued team member, and will work in a fast-paced environment that has a focus on safety and wellbeing.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Severs jugular veins of stunned animals to drain blood and facilitate dressing.
· Slaughtering tasks across the production or such as y-cut, pelting, shoulder pull and gutting.
· Trimming and removing head meat, eviscerates and trim animal carcasses Trimming any defects or contamination as directed by Meat Inspectors Separating and handling offal at the eviscerating table.
· Removes bone, washes, trims and cuts meat into standard cuts to prepare them for packing.
· Chiller room operations.
· Operation of equipment and machinery.
· Maintaining high hygiene standards throughout all processes.
· Follow all OH&S procedures and policies.
Skills and experience
· Proven experience (Slaughtering, Boning, Slicing, etc.) within the meat industry
· Demonstrable safe working skills
· Knowledge and understanding of Quality requirements

· Reliable, committed, on time and positive work attitude
· Able to work in a diverse team with varying backgrounds, knowledge and experience
· Willing to undergo Q Fever Vaccination, or have completed Q Fever Vaccination
