Job Description
Strathfield Private Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Anaesthetic Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team on a part-time basis.
In this role, you will provide high-quality anaesthetic nursing care across a broad range of cardiac procedures, working alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to further develop your specialist perioperative skills within a supportive and progressive clinical environment. As an integral member of the Cath Lab team, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centred care throughout the perioperative journey.
Key Responsibilities
As an Anaesthetic Registered Nurse, you will:

Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care throughout the perioperative phase.

Prepare and check anaesthetic equipment, medications and monitoring systems prior to procedures.

Assist the Anaesthetist during induction, maintenance and emergence from anaesthesia.

Monitor patients throughout procedures, recognising and responding promptly to any changes in clinical condition.

Deliver high-quality post-anaesthetic care, including airway management, haemodynamic monitoring and pain management.

Administer medications safely in accordance with hospital policies, legislative requirements and best practice guidelines.

Maintain accurate, timely and comprehensive clinical documentation.

Promote a safe clinical environment by adhering to infection prevention, workplace health and safety, and patient safety standards.

Participate in effective communication, clinical handovers and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Contribute to efficient patient flow within the Cardiac Cath Lab while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset, a passion for delivering exceptional patient care, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment.
You Will Also Bring:

Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.

Minimum two years' recent experience in Anaesthetic Nursing.

Demonstrated experience in Nursing – Theatre & Recovery.

Previous experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or perioperative environment (desirable).

Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Flexibility to work within a dynamic clinical environment.

Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
Remuneration:
A base hourly rate ranging from $40.24 – $56.52 + superannuation, based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties and allowances (Ramsay Health Care NSW Nurses & Midwives Enterprise Agreement – RN Years 1–8).
