What you'll be doing
As the Administration Officer, you'll provide high-quality administrative, reception and secretarial support to ensure the efficient operation of the Endocrinology Department. You'll be the first point of contact for patients, clinicians and stakeholders, coordinating appointments, managing enquiries and supporting specialist medical staff while maintaining exceptional customer service.
As the support for the team you will be required to:
Coordinate patient bookings, referrals, registrations, billing and medical records to support efficient clinic operations.
Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support, including diary management, correspondence, meeting coordination and document preparation.
Deliver professional reception services by managing phone, face-to-face and written enquiries with empathy and efficiency.
Process Medicare, health fund and electronic claims while ensuring compliance with NSW Health policies and departmental procedures.
Liaise with internal departments, external healthcare providers and stakeholders to support coordinated patient care and smooth departmental operations.

Proven ability to use a range of computer programs including Microsoft Office, email, internet and experience with or knowledge of other NSW Health IT applications including Oracle, i.PM, Cerner, Power chart, Waitlist.
