Reporting to the General Manager, this Brisbane-based role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership, supporting strategic initiatives, business improvement activities, research projects and business analysis across the organisation. This is a hybrid position that combines project coordination, process improvement and analytical responsibilities, providing exposure to both local and global business initiatives.
About the Opportunity
You will play a critical support role across multiple projects and improvement initiatives, helping to coordinate activities, conduct research, analyse information and develop practical solutions that drive business performance.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will contribute to strategic projects, business cases, due diligence activities and process improvement initiatives while gaining valuable exposure to business operations across the broader HCM network.
As a key member of the team, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting business improvement and project initiatives through coordination, reporting and administration activities.
- Assisting with strategic projects, business cases and due diligence activities for senior leadership.
- Conducting market intelligence, competitor research and fact-finding investigations to support informed business decision-making.
- Gathering business requirements and translating operational needs into practical system and process solutions.
- Supporting Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and business system improvement projects through analysis, process design and stakeholder engagement.
- Assisting in the design of business processes, evaluation frameworks, criteria weighting models and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Preparing reports, presentations and project documentation to support business objectives and project outcomes.
- Coordinating project activities to ensure milestones, deadlines and deliverables are achieved.
- Supporting both local and global initiatives, including projects originating from HCM Head Office and other international stakeholders.
- Assisting with business proposals, partnership assessments and potential joint venture opportunities.
To be successful you will need:
- Previous experience in project coordination, business analysis, business improvement, product management or a similar professional role.
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional projects and initiatives, ensuring activities are delivered on time, within cope, and aligned to business objectives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to independently research complex topics and provide practical recommendations.
- Experience managing or coordinating business systems, platforms, and tools including CRM systems (Salesforce experience preferred).
- Skilled in gathering, documenting and translating business requirements into actionable project plans, process improvement and system enhancements.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across multiple functions to drive alignment, resolve issues, and support successful outcomes.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence working across all levels of the business.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Mining industry knowledge will be advantageous, and OEM experience, particularly within organisations within the mining industry, will be highly desirable.
- A commercially minded approach and a genuine interest in research, strategic initiatives and business improvement.
