Central Oak – Sydney (North Shore, Northern Beaches & Surrounds)

Central Oak is expanding! We are looking for a motivated, capable Landscape Construction Professional to lead our on-site builds. Whether you want to transition back into full-time work or prefer a flexible kickoff, this role offers an immediate start with a clear path forward.
What’s in it for You?
- Top-Tier Pay: $45 – $55 per hour + super. Rate dependent on experience.
- Fully Equipped: Work vehicle provided (picked up Monday or when job starts, returned Friday or end of job), plus all tools, equipment, company shirts supplied.
- Work-Life Balance: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM hours.
- Flexibility to Full-Time: Starting at 20–30 hours per week initially, with a rapid pathway into a permanent full-time position.
- Less Grunt Work, More Craftsmanship: We provide labour from our existing team to handle the heavy manual lifting, freeing you up to focus on the skilled work.
- Full Support: You will receive a complete onboarding into our systems and values, ongoing support from the Central Oak Director for site decisions and variations.
The Projects & Locations
You will be working on beautiful residential projects across Sydney’s premier locations, including the Lower & Upper North Shore, Northern Beaches, and small pockets of the Inner West and Eastern Suburbs.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
We are looking for someone who can interpret drawings/plans, manage a small team on-site, and execute high-quality landscaping.
Core Requirements:
- Certificate 3 in Landscaping and/or proven hands-on landscape construction experience.
- Current Manual Driver’s License.
- Strong commitment to WHS practices.
Key Trade Skills:
- Set out & Prep: Interpreting plans, understanding levels, using a laser level, and preparing sub-bases.
- Paving & Brickwork: Paving on wet/river sand bases, operating a brick saw, and basic brick/block work.
- Excavation: Operating a small excavator.
- Structural & Concrete: Pouring concrete footings
- Edging: Installing brick, steel & corten edging.
- Timber Work: Building timber retaining walls and minor carpentry (fencing, timber lattice).
- Wire Balustrade: Measure and install of marine grade balustrade.
- Site Management: Capability to measure and order materials on-site.
