Mayfly Ventures is seeking an experienced Developer Programmer to join our team on a full-timebasis. This is a hands-on, end-to-end product delivery role in which you will architect, design, build, and maintain web and mobile applications across concurrent client and in-house venture projects.
You will work closely with founders, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into high-quality, scalable software solutions, leveraging modern no-code platforms, AI tooling, and best-practice software development methods.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead end-to-end design and development of web and mobile applications, managing priorities, timelines, and delivery across multiple concurrent projects
- Analyse user requirements and translate them into software specifications, user flows, information architecture, and technical design decisions
- Architect scalable, performant application structures including database design, backend workflow logic, and API integration strategies
- Design and develop responsive, high-fidelity user interfaces applying UI/UX design principles to maximise usability, engagement, and product quality
- Build and maintain integrations with third-party APIs and external services to extend
- application functionality
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Candidates must demonstrate the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Developer Programmer, Software Developer, or equivalent, with a strong portfolio of delivered software projects
- Proficiency in no-code application development, particularly Bubble.io, with demonstrated ability to build complex, production-grade web and mobile applications
- Solid understanding of database design, data modelling, relational structures, and backend workflow logic
- Demonstrated experience integrating REST APIs and third-party services into production application environments
- Strong UI/UX design capability including wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity interface design using tools such as Figma
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for front-end customisation and interface optimisation
- Experience applying Agile methodologies and using project management tools such as ClickUp, Jira, Asana, or Trello
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and system-level thinking
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities, with capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced delivery environment
DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES
- Experience designing and deploying AI-integrated product features and agentic or automated decision workflows
- Familiarity with additional platforms and tools such as Cursor, Bubble, Xano, and AI
- Experience with payment infrastructure integration (e.g. Stripe Connect) and end-to-end monetisation flow design
- Experience leading small development or design teams across concurrent client-facing delivery engagements
- Experience working across multiple industries including fintech, health, education, logistics, or hospitality technology sectors
