At Playmates Cottage Childcare Centre Inc, we believe every child deserves a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where they can learn, grow, and thrive.
We are a warm, community-focused early learning centre caring for 51 children across three learning environments. As a committee-run service, we pride ourselves on creating meaningful relationships with children, families, educators, and the wider community.
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Director to help lead our dedicated team and support the ongoing success of our service.
About the Role
Working closely with the Centre Director and Educational Leader, you will:
* Support the daily operations of the service
* Lead and mentor educators to deliver high-quality programs aligned with the EYLF
* Ensure compliance with NQS, regulations, and child-safe standards
* Assist with staff rostering, mentoring, and professional development
* Build strong relationships with children, families, and the community
* Contribute to policies, procedures, and risk assessments
* Step into the Director role when required
About You
You are a positive and motivated early childhood professional who brings:
✔ Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education (or working towards)
✔ Leadership or management experience in early childhood education
✔ Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS, and relevant legislation
✔ Excellent communication and organisational skills
✔ A collaborative and supportive leadership style
✔ Current WWCC, Child Protection Training, and First Aid certifications
