Role in Action
- Efficiency Enforcer - Play a critical role in maintenance, breakdowns and assist in the assessment of asset performance.
- Fix-It Force - Participate in and support preventative maintenance programs including basic troubleshooting, fault finding, reporting, installation, monitoring and repairs.
- Tool of Trade - Working with tools and using your head to problem solve with Wilmar providing a full trade-specific toolkit.
- Collaboration Crew - Work collaboratively in team environments.
As an Apprentice at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you will take part in a four-year learning program that combines theoretical education facilitated by a Registered Training Organisation (such as TAFE) with practical on-the-job training. Our Apprentice Program is expected to begin in late 2026 or early 2027.

How to Apply
Your Winning Combination
Regardless of trade discipline, all candidates must demonstrate satisfactory achievement in English, effective written and verbal communication skills, basic computer literacy, and the ability to travel to both the workplace and vocational training locations.
Candidates for the Engineering Trade apprenticeships must also demonstrate satisfactory achievement in Mathematics.
Electrical Trade candidates are required to have a minimum of General Mathematics (with high to very high achievement) or Mathematical Methods or Specialist Math and or Physics.
