About the Role
This is a founding hire into a growing valuations practice. You’ll lead business valuations and oversee our property valuations stream. You’ll set the quality bar, build processes, and help shape our commercial proposition as we grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Valuations: Deliver business valuations for tax planning, M&A and succession planning. Work across methodologies using DCF, market multiples, and asset-based approaches, with strong assistance from technology.
- Property Valuations: Oversee property valuation outputs, ensuring the methodology quality and outputs are defensible.
- Build and optimise repeatable valuation frameworks and quality review processes that meet our turnaround targets.
- Engage directly with clients and their advisors, presenting findings clearly and supporting business development.
What We’re Looking For
We value mindset and startup adaptability over credentials - and will support the right candidate in completing their valuer certification.
Ideally you also have:
- 3+ years of business valuation experience, in professional services, advisory, or accounting.
- Strong command of valuation methodologies, with the ability to defend conclusions under scrutiny.
- API (Australian Property Institute) certification, or willingness to work towards it with our support.
- Relevant qualification: CA, CPA, CBV, CFA, or equivalent.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter mindset, comfortable working with autonomy.
