Peninsula Private Hospital is seeking a highly skilled part-time Clinical Nurse for the position of Rehab Assessor. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person who is looking for a challenging and stimulating role.
About the role:
Are you an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background In Rehab nursing who demonstrates sound clinical judgement and thrives in a fast-paced environment and embraces service growth and change.
About us:
Located on the Redcliffe Peninsula, Peninsula Private Hospital is a 62-bed medical, surgical and rehabilitation facility providing services to the local community for over 30 years. The hospital is undergoing significant growth, including expansion of perioperative services and the planned opening of a new High Dependency Unit in 2026.

Key responsibilities:

Clinical assessment of potential Rehab patients.

Promoting effective communication within the multidisciplinary team

Working in partnership with patients and families to support shared decision-making

Contributing to quality improvement initiatives, accreditation preparation and clinical governance activities

Supporting effective patient flow and operational efficiency
-
Liasing with external referrers, internal Physicians, Surgeons and Nurse Unit Managers in order to facilitate admission for patients who require acute inpatient Rehab.

Essential Criteria:
-
Current AHPRA Registration
-
FIM trained
-
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical/Rehab setting

Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
-
Commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical excellence

Open class Australian Driver's License
