Delivery Driver / Field Operations Driver – Lime Bikes (Alexandria)
About the Role
We are looking for motivated and reliable drivers to join our field operations team, supporting the day-to-day movement of our bike fleet across Sydney. This role plays a key part in maintaining fleet availability, ensuring bikes are in the right locations at the right time to meet customer demand.
You will be responsible for retrieving, repositioning, and deploying bikes across various locations, working both independently and as part of a wider operations team. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being on the road and working outdoors.
Our operations run 24/7, with morning shifts available across a 7-day roster. Flexibility and weekend availability are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Retrieve damaged, misplaced, or low-battery bikes and transport them safely to the Alexandria warehouse
- Reposition bikes from low-demand areas to high-demand locations based on operational needs
- Deploy bikes from the warehouse into designated hotspot zones across the city
- Load and unload bikes efficiently and safely from company vehicles
- Conduct basic inspections to identify damage, faults, or maintenance requirements
- Accurately report issues using internal systems or mobile apps
- Follow daily task lists, routes, and operational instructions provided by the team
- Ensure timely completion of all assigned jobs and meet daily performance targets
- Keep vehicles and work areas clean, organised, and well-maintained at all times
- Adhere to all road safety, company policies, and operational procedures
- Communicate effectively with the operations team regarding delays or issues
- Assist with general warehouse support when required
Key responsibilities
- Safely operate e-scooters and bicycles to deliver packages within designated service areas
- Maintain a high level of customer service by delivering packages promptly and professionally
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on assigned vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Collaborate with the operations team to address any delivery-related issues or concerns
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our last-mile delivery processes
- Assist with the charging and maintenance of the e-scooter and bicycle fleet
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a delivery or logistics role, preferably involving the use of e-scooters or bicycles
- Physically fit and able to lift and handle bikes regularly
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to provide a positive delivery experience
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills to navigate urban environments efficiently
- A valid driver's licence and the ability to safely operate e-scooters and bicycles
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working in an outdoor setting
