As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a reliable, proactive and safety-focused Yard Person to join our Bus & Coach Operations team based at one of our many depots.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic and growing organisation that operates around the clock and values teamwork, safety and operational excellence.
This is a permanent position within our 24-hour operation, with shifts available across:
- Mornings
- Afternoons
- Evenings
- Weekends
- Public Holidays (as required)
For the right candidate, this role offers a genuine pathway into a full-time position after approximately six to seven months, subject to performance and operational requirements.
No two days are the same in this role. You will be an integral part of our operations team, ensuring our fleet is positioned, prepared and ready to deliver services safely and efficiently. Your ability to scatter from a depot to ensure we maintain on time running or assist a fellow driver on the road will play an integral part of your day to day functions.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Safely moving and positioning buses and coaches within the depot yard.
- Assisting with the daily preparation and organisation of the fleet.
- Supporting operational teams with vehicle movements and changeovers.
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised depot environment.
- Conducting basic vehicle checks and reporting any defects or damage.
- Working closely with Operations, Maintenance and Driver teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures and safety requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will be:
- Reliable, punctual and self-motivated.
- Comfortable driving and manoeuvring large vehicles.
- Calm and capable of working in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Safety-focused with excellent attention to detail.
- Flexible and willing to work varied shifts.
- A team player with strong communication skills.
- Able to respond to changing operational requirements and priorities.
Experience within the transport industry or depot operations is highly regarded, however training will be provided to the right candidate.
Applicants must possess:
- A current NSW Driver Authority Card (DAC) – Essential.
- Minimum - A current NSW MR Drivers License
- At least one year's driving experience a heavy vehicle.
- Full working rights within Australia.
- The ability to reliably commute to, or relocate to your assigned yard.
- The ability and willingness to travel as operational requirements dictate.
