The Perfect Dream Design Pty Ltd (Splendour Nails and Beauty) is looking for full-time Nail Technicians who are responsible for delivering professional nail care services, including manicures, pedicures, nail enhancements, and treatments, while maintaining high hygiene standards and ensuring excellent customer service. The role contributes to the overall client satisfaction, repeat business, and smooth operation of the salon.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Consulting with clients to assess nail condition, preferences, and suitability of treatments.
- Performing a full range of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylic nails, SNS/dipping powder, and nail art.
- Preparing nails by cleaning, trimming, shaping, buffing, and cuticle care prior to treatment.
- Applying nail polish, gel, acrylic, or other nail enhancement products with precision and attention to detail.
- Designing and creating customised nail art in accordance with client requests and current trends.
- Removing existing nail treatments safely and professionally without damaging natural nails.
- Recommending appropriate nail care products and aftercare routines to clients.
- Maintaining strict hygiene and sanitation standards in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Sterilising tools and equipment and ensuring workstations are clean and organised at all times.
- Monitoring stock levels of nail products and assisting with ordering and inventory control.
- Managing client appointments efficiently and maintaining accurate client records.
- Providing high-quality customer service to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Identifying nail health issues (e.g. infections or abnormalities) and referring clients to appropriate professionals where necessary.
- Keeping up to date with industry trends, new products, and techniques in nail care and beauty therapy.
Skills and Experience Requirements
- Relevant qualification at AQF Certificate III or above qualification in Beauty Therapy or equivalent; OR at least one year relevant work experience
- Demonstrated skills in acrylic, gel, and nail art techniques
- Strong knowledge of hygiene and infection control practices
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced salon environment
Base annual salary range from $77,000-$82,000 plus superannuation
