We are seeking an experienced and motivated STORE MANAGER to lead the team and drive the success of our supermarket. Krinsky’s is Sydney’s largest Kosher supermarket and has been in operation in Bondi for almost 40 years.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Store Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring exceptional customer service, strong team performance, high merchandising standards, effective inventory control and profitable store operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach & develop a high-performing team
- Manage daily store operations & ensure excellent presentation standards
- Deliver outstanding customer service
- Drive sales, profitability & operational performance
- Managing & implementing product promotions/sales & store marketing/advertising
- Manage rostering, labour costs & productivity
- Oversee inventory, product mix, ordering, stock-control & stocktakes
- Building & maintaining supplier relationships
- Minimise waste, shrinkage & stock loss
- Ensure accurate cash handling & banking procedures
- Financial management & budgeting
- Maintain food safety, workplace health & safety & regulatory compliance
- Monitor store security & loss prevention
- Build a positive team culture focused on accountability & continuous improvement
ABOUT YOU
To be eligible for the Store Manager position at Krinsky’s, you will need:
- Relevant qualifications in Retail Management or a related field (preferred)
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in supermarket or other retail management (essential)
- Experience working in a supermarket environment
- Experience with Kosher food/products
- Experience using supermarket retail management software including POS, inventory, ordering & reporting systems (essential)
- Strong leadership & people management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Time management & organisational skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- Experience managing sales, stock/inventory, labour & store performance
- Experience working with suppliers
- Experience in merchandising & running promotional activities/campaigns
- Customer-focused work ethic with a hands-on approach
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Experience in leading & training retail staff
- Proficiency in general computer skills
- Awareness/knowledge of relevant WHS requirements & retail regulatory requirements
