NBMLHD Community Mental Health offers a range of specialised services for children, young people, families and older people, through our community-based services and health centres. Our multidisciplinary health professionals and case managers take a collaborative approach to mental health care by linking with their patients to work together and consult within an environment appropriate to the person's needs.
Child, Youth and Family Mental Health (CYF-MH) provides services to children, young people, and their families in the Penrith, Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury and Lithgow community where Mental Health issues are seriously impacting on their emotional wellbeing, relationships and day to day functioning. CYF-MH offers Mental Health Assessment, Psychoeducation, Clinical support and Specialist Intervention services.
We are seeking a Family Therapist who is passionate about supporting Children, Adolescents and their families through life's challenges?
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Psychologist or Senior Psychologist with expertise in family therapy to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to children, young people and their families experiencing complex mental health concerns. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in strengthening family relationships, promoting recovery and resilience, and improving outcomes for children and young people.
As a senior clinician the CYF-MH Family Therapist is required to demonstrate clinical specialty in systemic interventions and family therapy as well as providing clinical leadership across the Child, Youth and Family Mental Health in their specialty area. The CYF-MH Family Therapist will provide family and systemic interventions to clients across community child and youth mental health teams.
The position takes a leadership role in the development and provision of education programs in family and systemic interventions within the district and externally. The CYF-MH Family Therapist will provide supervision and support to clinical staff and students in Child, Youth and Family Mental Health. They will also provide consultation services to community and inpatient staff and other key stakeholders, and training to clinical staff and students.
