About the Role
Reporting directly to the Directors, you will be responsible for developing new referral partnerships, increasing participant numbers, maintaining SIL occupancy and overseeing the client journey from initial enquiry through to successful onboarding.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys being out in the community, meeting stakeholders and creating long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain referral partnerships across South East Queensland.
- Promote Velocity Support Services to key stakeholders.
- Increase referrals across NDIS, DVA and Aged Care programs.
- Attend networking events, expos and community forums.
- Identify new business opportunities and service expansion areas.
Client Intake & Onboarding
- Respond promptly to new enquiries.
- Complete intake assessments.
- Coordinate participant meet-and-greets.
- Collect and review required documentation.
- Prepare service agreements.
- Coordinate smooth commencement of supports with clinical and rostering teams.
- Ensure compliance with NDIS, DHS and organisational requirements.
About You
You are an energetic, self-motivated professional with excellent communication skills and a passion for building meaningful relationships.
Essential
- Minimum 3 years' demonstrated experience in NDIS Business Development, Intake, Client Engagement, Community Engagement, or Relationship Management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the NDIS Act 2013, NDIS Practice Standards, NDIS Code of Conduct, Quality & Safeguards Commission requirements, and participant safeguarding obligations.
- Proven experience interpreting NDIS Plans, funding categories, reasonable and necessary supports, and participant onboarding processes.
- Established referral networks with Support Coordinators, Plan Managers, Allied Health Professionals, Hospitals, LACs, and community stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve referral conversion, occupancy, and business growth KPIs.
- Strong understanding of CRM systems, pipeline management, stakeholder engagement, and commercial business development methodologies.
- Exceptional negotiation, relationship management, and strategic networking skills.
- Deep understanding of the NDIS framework, pricing arrangements, and participant journey (SDA, SIL, Respite, Transport & Community Participation).
