Join the Airbus maintenance team in Edinburgh as a Technical Toolstore Support (GSE Fitter). In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and testing of aviation Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and Support & Test Equipment (S&TE).
You will ensure our ground-based equipment is mission-ready, supporting both local and deployed operations to achieve critical capability outcomes for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance & Repair: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on GSE and S&TE, including hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Inspections: Conduct technical inspections on procurement and vendor returns to ensure regulator standards are met.
- Stock & Tooling: Manage tooling controls, identify breakdown spares, and perform weekly stock checks on Ground Power Units and Hans Rigs.
- Compliance: Carry out Test & Tag of portable electrical equipment and maintain accurate digital records.
- Vendor Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with local vendors and supervise onsite contractors.
- Operational Support: Support maintenance services locally and in domestic or international deployed locations.

Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience within a Defence or Aviation
- Background in hydraulic and electrical systems (specifically Hydraulic Test Stand Systems or Technical Electronics).
- Understanding of maintenance policy, support engineering, and supply chain interdependencies.
- A proactive commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cert III in GSE Tech or Cert IV in Aeroskills.
- Restricted Electrical Licence / Test & Tag certification.
- Forklift Ticket / High-Risk Licence (EWP above 11m) / Working at Heights.
