About your role
As the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), you'll provide strategic and operational leadership to the Specialist Outpatient Department, ensuring high-quality, safe and efficient care for a diverse patient population.
In this role you will:
Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary outpatient nursing team.
Drive high-quality, patient-centred clinical care and service delivery.
Manage staffing, budgets, rostering and operational performance.
Lead quality improvement, safety and clinical governance initiatives.
Foster a positive workplace culture focused on collaboration and excellence.
Support education, mentoring, succession planning and workforce capability.
Monitor service performance and implement innovative models of care.
Work collaboratively with medical, allied health and executive stakeholders.
Champion evidence-based practice, research and continuous improvement.
About you
You're an experienced nursing leader who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
You'll bring:
Demonstrated leadership experience within a Specialist Outpatient or similar clinical setting.
Strong operational management, workforce planning and rostering experience.
Experience managing budgets, resources and service performance.
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
Proven ability to lead quality improvement and change initiatives.
Strong understanding of clinical governance and patient safety principles.
Experience mentoring, coaching and developing nursing teams.
Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
A collaborative leadership style with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
