Maintenance Officer

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
At Travel + Leisure Co. our vision is to put the World on Vacation, in your positon as the Maintenance Officer you will be responsible for performaing maintenance tasks throughout the property, including all maintenance issues, day to day functionality of the property and the protection of the asset to ensure it retains long-term viability.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include but not limited to:)
Operations:

Performs apartment and room maintenance checks and repairs
-
Activly participate as a member of the Maintenance Team to ensure departmental productivity and efficiency in dealing with all maintenance requests and facility management in accordance with the maintenance section of the Wyndham Property Operational Standards Manual.

Utilise MEX in accordance with the MEX Standard Operating Procedure to attend to reactive maintenance in a timely manner (Job Request)
- Execute minor projects
- Carryout Preventative Maintenance and Inspections
- Capture chargeable maintenance expenses
- Assist in managing the Assets Register for the site
- Participate in room deep cleans
- Assist in maintaining a catalogue of required materials and conduct stocktake

Close off Work Orders and add labour
- Work closely with Housekeeping, Sales, Resort Management, Front Office and Food & Beverage to ensure minimal disruption to guests while carrying out repairs.
General:
- Participate in mandatory and additional learning to keep informed regarding company policy, management techniques and industry best practices for you and your team.

Ensure that all company policies and procedures are understood demonstrate your understanding through the performance of your duties.

Actively assist the Wyndham Green program and provide input to the team in regard to energy saving efficiencies and initiatives.
Customer Service:

Respond to all guest requests in a timely manner to ensure memorable customer experience

Adopt the Hospitality with HEART culture in regard to your personal presentation, interdepartmental interaction, networking and job request responses.

Display innovation through inspiring, creating and improving processes and products.
OH&S

Take all actions to ensure the property in good working condition with due regard to the health and safety of all persons.

Comply with industry best practice and company policy regarding all aspects of WH&S and fire safety for yourself and all other persons.
KEY POSITION CRITERIA:
-
Ability to perform basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, appliance and electrical repairs as legally allowed
-
Ability to use and care for tools and equipment
-
Available on-call
-
Ability to perform routine maintenance of pool and spa
-
Deliver exceptional customer service to owners and guests
-
Ability to work effectively and productively in a fast paced, constantly changing environment

Actively participate in reactive, preventative and capex works using MEX as a CMMS
-
Encourage team work

Effectively interact with the resort/departmental managers and their teams

Communicate effectively with staff and guests
-
Recognise and solve problems in the workplace

Hold a valid Driver’s licence

Moderate computer skills to be able to interact with MEX on a daily basis, receive and send emails with photos and attachments. Supply details and comments in Word format

Workplace health and safety preffered certificates (desirable)
