We are seeking a caring, reliable and enthusiastic female support worker to provide community access and companionship to a wonderful female participant living in Shellharbour.
The participant is quite independent and enjoys travelling by train, exploring Sydney and participating in community activities. Support will be required twice a week.
Key responsibilities
- Pick up or meet the participant at her home in Shellharbour
- Accompany her to Oak Flats Railway Station
- Travel with her by train and support her during day trips around Sydney
- Provide friendly companionship and encourage independence
- Assist with navigation, planning and safe community access
- Support the participant throughout the day and accompany her home
Requirements
- Female support worker
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills
- Caring, patient, dependable and respectful
- Comfortable travelling by public transport for extended periods
- Able to work twice a week
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle,
- Previous disability or community-access experience is preferred
This role would suit someone who genuinely enjoys travel, conversation and helping another person participate confidently in the community.
