Typical job responsibilities
For a Quantity Surveyor at Kapitol Group, the role typically includes:
Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans.
Managing project costs from start to completion.
Identifying, pricing, and negotiating contract variations.
Reviewing and assessing subcontractor claims and variations.
Supporting procurement and tender evaluations.
Monitoring project budgets and preparing financial forecasts.
Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, and Contract Administrators.
Ensuring compliance with construction contracts and commercial procedures.
Producing financial reports and identifying opportunities to improve project profitability.
Skills and qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience in commercial construction.
Knowledge of construction contracts and cost management.
Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
Proficiency with software such as Excel, Bluebeam, Jobpac, or Cheops.
Pay: $10,000.00 – $12,500.00 per month
