Oporto Cessnock is looking for Store Manager to perform the following roles/duties:
1. Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the retail store to ensure efficient and smooth business performance.
2. Monitor inventory levels and maintain effective stock control systems to prevent shortages and overstocking.
3. Establish, implement, and maintain high customer service standards to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
4. Prepare staff rosters and oversee employee scheduling to ensure adequate staffing during operating hours.
5. Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise staff to maintain productivity and high workplace performance standards.
6. Implement promotional and marketing activities (as per Franchise Agreement) to increase sales and customer engagement.
7. Maintain accurate financial records, sales reports, and inventory documentation in accordance with company procedures.
8. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations, policies, and operational procedures.
9. Respond to customer inquiries, provide product information, and offer recommendations based on customer needs.
10. Assist in preparing budgets and monitoring store expenditure to support financial targets and profitability.
11. Liaise and negotiate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of quality products at competitive prices.
12. Monitor product performance and sales trends to optimise stock selection and inventory turnover.
13. Resolve customer complaints and service issues professionally to maintain positive customer relationships.
14. Implement and promote environmentally sustainable practices within daily store operations.
15. Analyse sales performance and prepare operational reports for management review and decision-making.
16. Drive sales growth initiatives and customer loyalty programs to strengthen repeat business and overall store performance.
17. Store Manager must manage weekly payments to Franchisor: Royalty Fees, Advertising Contribution & Payments for Products from Franchisor
18. Store Manager must manage weekly payments to: Trade Creditors, Real Estate Agent Fees & must also manage Automatic Payment System
19. Store Manager must be responsible for arranging Fit Outs and related insurances. Franchisee from time to time comply with Franchisor’s Requirements including managing permits, licenses, consents and approvals from relevant authorities and must also be responsible in managing computer systems and software for efficient operation of Oporto System.
20. Store Manager has to manage Lease – Terms and Conditions
21. Store Manager is responsible for Store’s Accounting & Record Keeping including budgeting, Sales Data, Business Records, Accounting etc.,
22. Store Manager is responsible for Record Keeping of Sales, Wages, Profits, Loss, Balance Sheets & Related Financial Information
23. Store Manager must maintain “Records for Audit & Inspection” by Franchisor
24. Store Manager is responsible at all times observe, comply with and will cause all of its agents and employees to observe and comply with the Oporto System Manuals
25. Store Manager is responsible at all time to comply with “Signage and Image” requirements of Franchisor
26. Store Manager must under mandatory Initial Operational Training Program with Franchisor
27. Store Manager must comply with Franchisor’s Advertising, Marketing and Promotion requirements
28. Store Manager is responsible to deal with Approved Suppliers
Education & Qualifications: The appropriate candidates must possess at least Diploma or Advanced Diploma or Degree level qualifications in Management / Business / Accounting or three years of full time work experience may substitute for the formal qualifications.
Experience: A minimum of one year of full-time relevant work experience
Remuneration: The full-time position offers an annual salary of $80,000 plus superannuation
Employment Conditions: Employment entitlements will align with the National Employment Standards and relevant Fair Work instruments, as stipulated by the Australian Government.
