DECC is on the lookout for a sharp, motivated Civil Estimator to join our Sydney team. We want someone who knows their way around civil construction, enjoys the challenge of pricing projects properly, and can work closely with operations, suppliers, and subcontractors to put together competitive, accurate bids.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll be preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for a range of civil projects across Sydney and wider NSW. From reviewing drawings and specifications to gathering supplier and subcontractor pricing, you’ll play a key role in shaping successful bids. You’ll also work closely with project managers and leadership to identify risks, opportunities, and smarter ways to price and deliver work.
What we’re looking for
You’ll ideally have a qualification in Civil Engineering and proven experience in an estimating role within the civil construction industry. You should be confident interpreting plans, scopes, and technical documents, with a strong eye for detail and a practical understanding of how projects are actually delivered on site.
We’re after someone who is commercially aware, organised, and easy to work with — someone who can manage deadlines, communicate clearly, and bring both accuracy and common sense to the estimating process.
