Your Impact on This Role
You will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of Perth Airport’s Baggage Handling System (BHS).
- Responding quickly and safely to mechanical faults, jams and breakdowns
- Performing scheduled preventative maintenance to a high standard
- Using SCADA to diagnose and troubleshoot issues
- Keeping detailed maintenance and fault records
- Supporting and mentoring newer technicians
- Partnering with stakeholders across airport operations to keep systems running smoothly

What You Will Need to Bring (Non‑Negotiable)
- Mechanical trade qualification
- Ability to work rotating shifts
- Strong mechanical faultfinding and maintenance skills
- Comfortable working with computer-based systems, SCADA interfaces and automated equipment
- Able to obtain an ASIC and Airside Driver’s License we help you through the process
- Safety first mindset and commitment to quality workmanship
- Strong communication and customer focused approach
Bonus Skills (Nice, Not Required)
- Experience with Baggage Handling Systems
- CPR/LVR
- Post trade qualifications (Hydraulics, PLCs, etc.)
- Experience with Aerobridges, NIGS or airport systems
