Rymer Constructions is seeking a qualified carpenter with a minimum of 2 years experience to join our growing team. This role involves working on a range of residential renovation and extension projects across North Brisbane, delivering high-quality workmanship while contributing to a positive and professional site culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of residential carpentry work, including framing, fixing, fit-off and finishing.
- Interpret plans, drawings and specifications to complete works accurately.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, apprentices, subcontractors and clients.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, site presentation and safety.
- Assist in planning and coordinating daily site activities.
- Identify and resolve construction issues as they arise.
- Mentor and support apprentices where required.
- Ensure projects are completed efficiently and to company quality standards.
- Follow Workplace Health and Safety requirements at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding project progress and requirements.
Skills, Experience & Requirements
- Certificate III in Carpentry.
- Minimum 2 years experience.
- Experience in residential renovations and extensions preferred.
- Current White Card.
- Own set of carpentry tools suitable for residential construction work.
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional attitude with excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to producing high-quality work.
