We at Bourke & Ward are searching for a mixologist/cocktail bartender to join our team and play a key part in the continued success of our establishment. We are a southern-Italian styled restaurant/bar situated in the heart of Sydneys CBD and officially opened our doors in August 2023. As an establishment we offer a fast-growing, exiting environment where you can make a real impact.
Your responsibilities would consist of:
- Serving cocktails, wine, beer, spirits and soft beverages.
-Engage enthusiastically with customers, understanding their preferences and reccomending personalised cocktails that cater to their specific taste.
-Maintaining a clean and tidy bar area by organising supplies and dealing with stock replenishment.
- Implement and maintain effective operational systems for food and beverage service to ensure a smooth running service.
-To encourage and maintain a positive work environment and be a fundamental part of the team.
-Ensure all compliance with all health and safety regulations and licensing requirements.
-Have a creative mindset and contribute to development of new bar menus including cocktails and to have a sound knowledge of which ingredients compliment each other. Creating new cocktails weekly and seasonal drinks and keeps up with trends.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
-Minimum of 1 year of experience as a mixologist is required.
-Demonstrated knowledge or a sound understanding and experience in bar operations and cocktail bartending.
-A positive and enthusiastic attitude with a passion for the industry.
