What are we looking for?
The Senior Software Engineer is a key individual contributor responsible for designing, developing, testing, and delivering high-quality cloud-native, event-driven systems that support the firm's major technology transformation. The role focuses on building new and modernising existing platforms, engineering practices, and delivery models to enable long-term scalability, resilience, and business agility.

Design and deliver scalable, cloud-first solutions using modern engineering practices.

Develop high-quality applications using Node.js and SOLID design principles.

Build serverless, event-driven and distributed systems for performance and reliability.

Design NoSQL data models with a focus on scalability and efficient access patterns.

Make pragmatic technology decisions based on business needs and operational outcomes.

Apply cloud best practices across security, networking, resilience, observability and cost optimisation.

Deliver reliable, scalable and cost-effective cloud solutions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical leadership.

Translate complex technical concepts into practical solutions for stakeholders.

Drive continuous improvement through innovation, accountability and engineering excellence.
What will you bring?
- Proven experience building and supporting large-scale, cloud-based distributed systems.

Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, serverless, event-driven solutions and DevSecOps practices.

Proficiency in Node.js (preferred) and modern engineering principles.

Experience designing scalable NoSQL databases and cloud-native applications.

Strong understanding of secure coding practices and Agile delivery.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical and technical decision-making skills.

Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Proven ability to influence engineering best practices and mentor team members.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Azure, Cosmos DB, React.js and cloud certifications are highly regarded.
