Kitchen Hand – Portarlington Grand Hotel
Portarlington Grand Hotel is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our kitchen team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy hospitality environment and wants to be part of a supportive kitchen team.
About the role
You will assist the kitchen team with general kitchen duties, cleaning and basic food preparation to help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly during service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Washing dishes and maintaining clean kitchen areas
- Cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment and work areas
- Assisting chefs with basic food preparation
- Receiving, storing and rotating stock
- Keeping the kitchen organised and well presented
- Assisting the chefs during busy service periods
- Following food safety and workplace health and safety procedures
- Other general kitchen duties as required
About you
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen
- Willing to learn and take direction
- Well presented and has a positive attitude
- Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential. We are happy to train the right person who has a strong work ethic and the right attitude.
