Axis Freight Management (AFM) is a Brisbane-based transport and logistics company providing reliable freight and transport solutions across Brisbane and regional Queensland. Our services span wharf cartage, LCL and general freight, airfreight cartage, same-day freight, local and regional transport, and dedicated and contract transport work.

We're growing, and we're looking for solid, experienced Rigid Truck Drivers to join our team.
The Role
You'll be driving MR and HR rigid trucks (manual and automatic) on local and regional runs throughout Brisbane and Queensland. No two days look exactly the same - this isn't a single repetitive milk run. You could be doing wharf cartage one day, general freight deliveries the next, and supporting a same-day or contract job after that.
Day-to-day, you'll be expected to:
- Drive MR/HR rigid trucks safely and efficiently across metro and regional routes
- Carry out wharf cartage, general freight, and contract/subcontract transport work as rostered
- Load, unload, and properly secure freight in line with safety standards
- Complete run sheets and delivery paperwork accurately and on time
- Communicate clearly with our office team on job progress, delays, or issues
- Represent AFM professionally at every customer site — presentation and conduct matter
- Carry out pre-start checks and report any vehicle issues promptly
- Work safely around forklifts, loading docks, and other freight handling equipment
What We're Looking For
- Current MR or HR driver's licence - manual and/or automatic
- Solid experience driving rigid trucks in a commercial freight environment
- Current Forklift licence highly regarded (not essential, but a strong plus)
- A clean driving record and a genuine safety-first attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work autonomously once on the road
- Strong communication skills - you'll be a direct reflection of AFM at every drop-off
- Comfortable with manual handling and the physical side of freight work
- A practical, no-fuss approach to getting the job done properly

Pay: $30.00 – $47.26 per hour
