About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our growing construction business. The successful applicant will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing residential and commercial construction projects from commencement through to completion.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Oversee and coordinate workforce operations while ensuring the efficient scheduling and delivery of materials, equipment, and other site resources to support project timelines.
· Lead the preparation, execution and monitoring project schedules, site programs, and resource management plans to support the successful delivery of multiple construction projects.
· Manage relationships with clients, developers, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring project objectives, budgets, and deadlines are achieved.
· Monitor compliance with relevant building regulations, industry standards, workplace health and safety requirements, and quality assurance procedures.
· Liaise with architects, engineers, consultants, tradespeople, and other project stakeholders to facilitate smooth project delivery.
· Manage the preparation, coordination, and submission of development, building, and construction documentation to relevant authorities.
· Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and trade contractors to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and quality benchmarks.
· Manage project budgets, procurement activities, and cost-control measures to maximise project efficiency and profitability.
· Conduct site inspections, track project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions where required.
· Deliver ongoing progress reports and consistent updates to clients and senior management across all stages of the project development.
· Keep up to date knowledge on NCC, AS1684, AS2870 and Guide to Standard and Tolerances.
Essential Requirements
· Bachelor degree or higher qualification in Construction Management, Building, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
· Minimum three years of relevant experience as a Construction Project Manager or in a closely related role.
· Strong knowledge of Australian construction standards, regulations, and project delivery processes.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
· Strong budgeting, planning, and organisational abilities.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
· Current driver's licence.
Desirable
· Experience managing residential, townhouse, multi-unit developments.
· Experience dealing with local councils, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
· Knowledge of contract administration and construction procurement.
