Hotel Lona is searching for our next hospitality superstar to join the team as a Senior Venue Manager.
This is a hands on leadership role suited to someone who genuinely loves hospitality, thrives in high energy environments, and understands how to create atmosphere across pub, dining, bar and nightlife settings.
We’re looking for someone with strong operational experience, but also someone who understands customer experience, venue culture, and what keeps people coming back.
We’re after someone who can bring both operational structure and floor energy.
The role will work directly alongside the owner operator and play a key role in the ongoing evolution of Hotel Lona.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You’ll be heavily involved across:
- Bar operations and beverage service
- Nightlife trade, entertainment and weekly programming
- Building venue atmosphere and customer experience
- Leading from the front during busy service periods
- Staff leadership, training and team culture
- Assisting with venue operations across restaurant, rooftop and bar
- Working alongside ownership on ideas, activations and venue growth
- Venue systems, stock control and day to day operational management
- Maintaining venue standards, presentation and service consistency
We are looking for someone who:
- Loves pubs, bars and hospitality culture
- Brings strong energy and leadership to the floor
- Understands how to build repeat trade and local following
- Has strong bar, beverage and restaurant knowledge
- Is highly organised and operationally capable
- Has solid administration and systems skills
- Is confident using venue technology, POS and booking systems
- Understands labour management and wage control
- Can manage large teams across multiple service styles
- Thinks like an owner and genuinely cares about the success of the venue
- Can think creatively as well as operationally
- Thrives in fast paced environments
- Understands nightlife operations and late night service
- Has strong communication and problem solving skills
- Ideally has experience in entertainment driven or high volume venues
- Holds current RSA and Approved Managers highly regarded
