Position Summary:
Novus Education (RTO Code: 45082 ) is seeking Trainers and Assessors for the day-to-day quality delivery of training, assessment and student services (including design, development, piloting and validation of training and assessment tools, resources, supporting materials and processes) for the following qualifications:
- CPC31320 Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling
This position requires a skilled and qualified tradesperson with current industry experience, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to compliance and quality in vocational education and training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality training and assessment in accordance with the requirements of the Training Package, RTO policies, and the Standards for RTOs 2025.
- Prepare training plans, session outlines, learning materials, and assessment tools.
- Conduct classroom, workshop, and on-site training (as applicable).
- Designing, developing and continuously improving training and assessment tools, resources and materials that comply with the mandates of relevant Training Packages, and that meet workplace and regulatory requirements, as appropriate.
- Assess students’ skills and knowledge using a range of assessment methods including practical demonstrations, projects, and written assessments.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback and support to learners.
- Ensure accurate and compliant record-keeping including marking guides, attendance records, training plans, and assessment outcomes.
- Engage with industry stakeholders to ensure training remains current and relevant.
- Participate in validation and moderation of assessments.
- Maintain currency of industry skills and vocational competency.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Mandatory:
- CPC31320 Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling
- Current TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years recent industry experience in at least one of the above trades
- Current industry currency (e.g. through employment, projects, or professional development)
- Working knowledge of WHS practices in the construction industry
Desirable:
- Experience in delivering training within an RTO or TAFE environment
- Experience with training apprentices and/or school-based programs
- Knowledge of the Australian VET sector and compliance requirements (e.g., ASQA standards)
- Current Working with Children Check
