In this position, you will lead and ensure that your team execute safe and efficient operations. This role will be offered on a full-time permanent basis on an 8:6 roster.
To be considered for this position you must possess the following as a minimum:
- Previous experience as a Mining Superintendent
- Extensive practical knowledge and experience in mining operations
- Ability to lead, develop and mentor workforce
- Strong time management skills
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Current Australian First Aid Certificate (Desirable)
- Statutory Quarry Managers Certificate (Desirable)
You will be responsible for:
- Implementing the mining plan and monitoring progress in respect of time, costs, and quality
- Managing and providing support to Mining Supervisors to ensure that mining activities are adequately resources
- Promoting a working environment that is safe, healthy and protects the environment
- Reviewing client and sub-contractors’ plans and schedules to ensure targets can be met
- Maintaining and fostering relationships, contacts, and liaison with the client’s team in respect of technical issues, specifications, and variations
- Identifying variations, negotiating minor variations or additional work within overall scope and participating in negotiations in respect of scope changes
- Act in role of Project Manager when required
