What you will do:
You will manage the delivery of construction-phase support services, geotechnical investigations and detailed design analysis/assessment, ensuring quality outcomes and client satisfaction while efficiently managing project tasks and applying your engineering knowledge to diverse civil infrastructure, residential, commercial, and industrial developments. Your strong connection to the local market will facilitate the maintenance and expansion of your professional network, driving measurable business growth.
Additionally, you will produce high-quality technical reports, identify new opportunities in specific project types or sectors, and provide guidance and training to team members through site instruction and technical sessions while prioritising environmental sustainability and the health of the wider community.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive appropriate training, guidance and supervision to provide:

Manage the delivery of construction phase support services and geotechnical investigations, and detailed design assessment, focusing on quality, efficiency and effectiveness

Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding and addressing their needs.

Proactively identify and pursue business development opportunities.

Prepare and deliver high-quality technical reports and documentation.

Provide leadership that balances operational and technical expertise.

Mentor team members and share knowledge through training sessions.

Maintain effective project management practices and keep commercial records up to date.

Proactively promote ADE services, not only geotechnical professional and laboratory testing services, but contamination assessment, pipeline conditions assessment and occupational health and safety services, to clients, strengthening relationships and enhancing their project experience

About you:

Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, or a related field, with proven experience in geotechnical investigations, detailed design assessment and construction phase support services.

Strong report writing and technical skills, effectively applying geotechnical principles to deliver practical construction solutions.

Excellent project management and client engagement skills, committed to client-centric principles and timely task completion within budget.

Proactively identifying business opportunities and managing project risks while adhering to relevant systems and procedures and demonstrating attention to detail.

Willingness to conduct fieldwork, including site investigations in remote areas, and hold a valid unrestricted driver’s license for use in Australia.

Committed to continuous professional development, valuing feedback and openness to improvement while upholding professional integrity and dignity in alignment with ADE's mission and values.

Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status with Engineers Australia is preferred.
