Role Overview: As a Full Stack Developer, you will contribute across both frontend and backend systems, working on mission-critical applications that support large-scale public sector services. You will be responsible for designing, building, and optimising applications that are secure, performant, and maintainable.You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including UI/UX designers, backend engineers, DevOps specialists, and product stakeholders to deliver high-quality digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications across UI and backend layers
- Build responsive and accessible user interfaces using modern web standards
- Develop and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using C# and .NET
- Optimise application performance across both frontend and backend systems
- Ensure smooth integration between web applications and backend services
- Participate in system architecture discussions and technical design reviews
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in a timely manner
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices
- Collaborate in Agile development environments (sprints, stand-ups, reviews)
Technical Skills & Requirements
- Strong experience in Full Stack Development
- Proficiency in C# and .NET 8 / .NET 10 (or later)
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Strong understanding of integration between frontend web applications and backend systems
- Experience with database systems (SQL Server or similar)
- Knowledge of performance optimisation techniques for web applications
Highly Desirable:
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred in government environments)
- Understanding of secure coding practices and authentication/authorisation flows
- Exposure working in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows
