We're looking for a daycare cook to join our growing team. You will work Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
As a Cook, you will plan and prepare nutritious, well-presented, and appropriate meals and snacks for children aged 6 months to 6 years at our fantastic centre. You will create a seasonal, nutritious cuisine that caters to individual needs such as medical problems, food preferences, and cultural concerns, while also ensuring the children's health and well-being are addressed.
You will always maintain the highest levels of food safety and hygiene in your kitchen.
Experience in preparing meals is essential and experience catering within a childcare environment is desirable.
If you have
> A genuine passion for creating delicious, nutritional food for children and babies
> An ability to plan seasonal menus and order accordingly
> Knowledge of safe hygiene practices (NSW Food Authority’s Handler Basics course)
> Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
> You must have or be willing to complete food handling training and complete the (Gekko) Foundations of Child Safety training
> You must have a current approved Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain one
