About the role
As the Clinical Midwife Clinical Facilitator - Simulation Coordinator, you will play a key role in strengthening the capability and confidence of Queensland's maternity workforce through the delivery of high-quality simulation-based education and clinical training programs. Working within the Queensland Maternity Education (QME) team and the Clinical Skills Development Service (CSDS), you will partner with Midwifery Educators, clinicians, and stakeholders to develop, coordinate, and deliver innovative learning experiences that support safe, evidence-based care for women and babies.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting midwifery practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
Integrate midwifery and healthcare knowledge, skills, and ability by supporting an evidence-based learning environment and participating in learning activities/opportunities for self and others.
Deliver cost-effective workplace training, development and education to nurses and midwives within the clinical environment in conjunction with the relevant Midwife Educator, which may include mandatory and requisite skills training and documentation and the maintenance of rooms and venues, simulation and associated equipment, scenario props, consumables and audio-visual systems.
Integrate organisational policies and guidelines with professional standards by maintaining a current knowledge and participating in relevant policy review.
Undertake, and participate in ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals.
