About the Role:
We're looking for a Handpiece & Small Equipment Technician to join our small team in Noosa .
As a Handpiece and Small Equipment Technician, you will assess, diagnose, quote, repair, and test dental handpieces and small equipment. You will play an important role in helping our customers keep their practices running smoothly by providing quality repairs and technical support.
Working as part of a small, supportive team, you will manage your own workload and be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing a wide variety of equipment using specialised tools, manuals, and technical resources.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Diagnosing faults and identifying repair requirements
Quoting repair work and preparing work orders
Repairing, testing, and servicing dental handpieces and small equipment
Managing multiple repair cases and work orders each day
Responding to customer enquiries and providing technical support
Maintaining accurate records using Salesforce and other business systems
Working towards quality, productivity, and turnaround time targets
Collaborating with colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service
You may come from a background such as:
Dental Assistant or Dental Technician
Biomedical or Instrumentation Technician
Hearing Aid Technician
Jewellery Making, Watchmaking, or Precision Manufacturing
Electronics Repair, Mechanical Assembly, Toolmaking, or Precision Machining
Or you may simply enjoy hands on hobbies such as repairing vehicles, building things, welding, or taking equipment apart to understand how it works.
What You will Bring:
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
Mechanical aptitude and curiosity
High attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Intermediate computer skills
Strong communication and customer service skills
A willingness to learn and be coached
A positive attitude and growth mindset
MS Office experience and computer proficiency essential, with ideally some exposure to Salesforce, or similar systems however not essential.
Training & Development:
